Biography
Zach Taylor channels his offbeat bedroom pop approach through the Dreamer Boy moniker, where this singer, songwriter, and producer born in the Pacific Northwest and later based in Nashville handles every facet of the music. The 2018 debut’s hazy blend of soft dream pop, rap, and R&B broadened his reach while generating strong anticipation for the 2021 album All the Ways We Are Together.
Raised in Spokane, Washington, Taylor immersed himself in an eclectic range of sounds until home-recording software caught his attention in high school. College years in Nashville prompted him to begin issuing material as Dreamer Boy, building dense, soulful pop songs that drew on everything from vintage drum machines to pedal steel guitar. Bobby Knepper joined as co-producer for the first full-length, Love, Nostalgia, which surfaced in 2018 and quickly opened doors to tours with the Marias, Omar Apollo, and Still Woozy. Streaming favorites such as “Puppy Dog” and “Know You” surfaced across the next two years, setting the stage for the 2021 follow-up All the Ways We Are Together, again produced with Knepper.
