Duckwrth, a multifaceted rapper, songwriter, producer, and visual artist, infuses his tracks with an energetic and inquisitive demeanor that crosses musical boundaries. His beats span from mellow, natural R&B grooves to cutting-edge hip-hop instrumentals and catchy pop melodies, all of which appeared on his debut studio album SuperGood in 2020 along with later singles such as "Birthday Suit" and "Make U Go." He returned in 2022 with the dancefloor-ready EP Chrome Bull.

Born Jared Lee in Los Angeles in 1989, Duckwrth experienced a sheltered childhood spent largely indoors watching cartoons and drawing. He expressed part of his artistic drive while enrolled at art school in San Francisco, yet ultimately dropped out and returned to Los Angeles. In the mid-2010s he began issuing his own songs online under the Duckwrth name and broadened his reach through work with producer Kickdrums. After their collaborative 2014 single "Supersoaker" and the album Nowhere issued the next year, Duckwrth delivered his first entirely solo collection, 2016’s I'M UUGLY. The album explored multiple styles, drawing from hip-hop sounds Lee favored during his early twenties and the more caustic punk influences that defined his teenage years. With I'M UUGLY establishing Duckwrth’s unique style and free-spirited creativity, he sustained the momentum through the 2017 release An XTRA UUGLY Mixtape. In 2018, beyond his own solo material, he secured placement on the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack by teaming with Shaboozey on "Start a Riot." Guests including Rico Nasty, Kiana Lede, Medasin, and others joined him on the 2019 EP The Falling Man. A proper studio album arrived in 2020 with SuperGood, showcasing the rapper’s diverse skills through guest performances from EarthGang, Jean Deaux, Kyle Dion, and others. The following year Duckwrth issued several new songs including "Make U Go" and also collaborated with like-minded artist TeaMarrr on her single "Specific." 2022 saw the release of the EP Chrome Bull, which infused his forward-thinking R&B/hip-hop sound with elements of funk, house, and U.K. garage.
