Biography
Country singer Dusty Drake first performed as a drummer throughout his teenage years before shifting focus to his primary talents as a vocalist and songwriter. The Pennsylvania native joined multiple bands and later relocated to Nashville with the goal of building a professional music career. In that city he progressed through successive roles in country music by supplying backup vocals, performing on and producing demo recordings, and ultimately crafting songs that appeared on albums from Joe Diffie, Karen Staley, and Mark Chesnutt. Warner Bros. Records noticed those compositions and issued his self-titled debut album in 2003.
