Biography
Before issuing his first single, singer and songwriter Ed Drewett had already secured a place on the charts, drawing inspiration from Robbie Williams and Justin Timberlake. He entered the world in Harlow, Essex, England during 1988, launching his vocal pursuits while still young. Following his enrollment at Tech Music School in London, he tried out for Andrew Lloyd Webber's televised competition Any Dream Will Do, which sought the star of a fresh staging of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Although he advanced to the final 20 contestants, Drewett fell short of the live broadcast phase. Refusing to be discouraged, he turned to composing original songs and inked a contract with Virgin Records in 2009. The subsequent year saw him opening for Professor Green across the U.K., joining the number three success "I Need You Tonight," and crafting the Wanted's number one track "All Time Low." Scheduled for 2011, his first album featured production contributions from Greg Kurstin, Wayne Hector, and Fraser T. Smith.
