Biography
Originating from Bochum in Germany, the gothic metal outfit Eisheilig—whose name translates as Ice-Holy—came together in 1998. Its roster of Till Maiwald, Dennis Mikus, Niklas Peternek, Hardy Zenero, and Dominik Sapia issued the debut album Eisheilig in 2001 before delivering Die Gaerten des Herrn in 2003. Zenero left the lineup that same year, and Peternek followed suit ahead of the 2006 album Elysium. Markus Vogler was brought in to handle bass duties thereafter.
