Elise Estrada

Born on July 30, 1987, in Marikina City, Philippines, Elise Estrada is a Canadian-Filipino singer focused on teen pop. After settling in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, she won the Ms. Vancouver Princess crown in 2004 at age seventeen and finished first runner-up in the Binibining Pilipinas World of Canada pageant. Around the same period she issued a self-titled debut album containing ten tracks of brisk pop material. Its only single, “Ix-Nay,” made minimal impression on Canadian radio. Following a short recording hiatus, Estrada resumed work in the studio during 2007 under the ROCKStar Corp imprint. She restarted her career with the catchy single “Insatiable,” which entered the Canadian Hot 100 at number 44. The midtempo ballad “Unlove You,” released in spring 2008, proved four times more successful, climbing to number 11 on the same chart. Later that summer she released a third single, “These Three Words,” which earned extensive radio airplay and also appeared on the Canadian Hot 100.
