Biography
Mishon Ratliff, whose R&B productions pair flirtatiously innocent romantic lyrics with grooves that honor soul’s deep-rooted lineage, gained recognition as both singer and actor well before finishing high school. The performer, born in 1993, first reached a nationwide audience at age ten by competing on NBC’s America’s Most Talented Kid. Though he fell short in his age bracket, the visibility quickly translated into a contract with Dynasty Records, which issued Still Mishon in 2004 and the follow-up Youngsters the subsequent year. In 2007 he joined the cast of ABC Family’s Lincoln Heights as the family’s youngest child. The added exposure led to a deal with Interscope Records, and late in 2009 the sixteen-year-old scored his debut hit with the playfully sensual “Just a Kiss.”
