Dondria

Emerging as a contemporary R&B vocalist, Dondria gained her first major break when So So Def founder Jermaine Dupri spotted her performances on YouTube. She entered the world as Dondria Nicole in Dover, OK, spent her childhood in Texas, and first explored singing as a child through her church choir. Launching the Phatfffat YouTube channel in 2007 allowed her to share her vocal work, and once a substantial online audience had formed, Dupri reached out, flew her to Atlanta, and signed her to So So Def/Island Def Jam. The imprint issued her debut recording, the 2008 single "Can't Stop," which Dupri produced and labelmate Chrisette Michele helped write. Her first full-length album, Dondria vs. Phatfffat, arrived in August of 2010.
