Faustix operates as the working alias of Morten Brangstrup Olsen, whose work centers on electro-house and trap variants of mainstream EDM. After developing an interest in music production and DJ'ing, the Copenhagen, Denmark native turned prolific within a couple of years, issuing a steady succession of singles, EPs, and remixes near the start of the 2010s. Diplo became an early supporter and recruited him to co-produce the 2013 single "Revolution," which reached number 20 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart in the U.S. Once signed to Warner Music's Denmark division, Olsen notched his first Top 40 hit at home in 2016 with the pop-oriented "Come Closer," a collaboration featuring vocalist David Jay. The next year, "Watching You," made with fellow producer Alvaro, delivered another crossover success. By that point Olsen had become a fixture on the worldwide festival circuit and had extended his remix credits to Icona Pop ("Just Another Night"), Pegboard Nerds ("Emoji"), and David Guetta ("This One's for You").
