Hailing from Los Angeles, FEVER 333 fuses rap and rock into a chaotic hybrid laced with politically charged lyrics in the vein of Rage Against the Machine and further shaped by Public Enemy, Black Flag, and Linkin Park. Known for an abrasive, aggressive, and high-energy approach, the group secured a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Performance in 2019 on the strength of the explosive title track from its debut EP, Made in America. The same year saw the arrival of the band’s first full-length album, Strength in Numb333rs.

Frontman Jason Aalon Butler, formerly of LetLive, formed the hard-hitting trio alongside guitarist Stephen Harrison of the Chariot and drummer Aric Improta from Night Verses. Complete backing from producers Travis Barker of blink-182 and John Feldmann of Goldfinger, who placed the act on their More Hi-Hat label, allowed FEVER 333 to surface in 2017 through intense live shows and grassroots efforts centered on the message of “community, charity, and change.” That socially conscious outlook informed early material such as the visceral “Hunting Season,” the genre-blurring trap-metal cut “Walking in My Shoes,” and the fiery “We’re Coming In.”

March 2018 brought the announcement of a Roadrunner Records deal, followed by the release of the EP Made in America, whose title track earned the aforementioned Grammy nomination. Early 2019 delivered Strength in Numb333rs. Written, recorded, and released in under 24 hours, the politically charged standalone single “Presence Is Strength” surfaced in early 2020 and was succeeded that October by the Wrong Generation EP. The next year found FEVER 333 appearing on Yonaka’s “Clique” and Papa Roach’s “Swerve,” yet 2022 marked a major shift when Improta and Harrison exited. Butler introduced a reconstituted quartet in May 2023 that included drummer Thomas Pridgen of the Mars Volta, guitarist Brandon Davis formerly of Vanna and Lions Lions, and bassist April Kae.
