In Hearts Wake

In Hearts Wake emerged in 2006 as an ARIA-charting metalcore outfit from Byron Bay, Australia, built around singer Jake Taylor, guitarists Ben Nairne and Eaven Dall, bassist Kyle Erich, and drummer Caleb Burton. Their early material fused atmospheric synths with melodic hardcore, first captured on the 2007 EP Into the Storm. A second EP, The Getaway, followed the next year. The group joined the UNFD roster in 2012, issuing its debut full-length Divination before the year ended. After an intensive touring cycle, the musicians tracked their sophomore album Earthwalker, which surfaced in 2014. Skydancer arrived the year after, while the split EP Equinox with Northlane appeared in 2016. Late that same year, Conor Ward replaced Caleb Burton on drums. The single “Warcry” surfaced in April 2017 to herald the band’s fourth studio album Ark, released the following month.
