Originating in Britain, the family quintet placed Deniece Pearson on lead vocals with Stedman, Doris, Lorraine, and Delroy Pearson rounding out the lineup. Their first RCA single, “All Fall Down,” climbed to number 16 on the R&B charts. “Let Me Be The One” then launched a run of Top 10 singles, cresting at number two as their strongest showing while “Love Take Over” and “Can't Wait Another Minute” also reached that tier. Further Top 20 placements arrived with “If I Say Yes” and “Are You Man Enough.” A comeback album appeared in 1994, and the group kept issuing recordings well into the 2000s.
