Biography
Observing the sudden surge of interest among Finnish rock listeners in commercially savvy goth metal acts like H.I.M., Entwine, and To/Die/For, several opportunistic veterans from the local extreme metal scene chose to devote serious attention to their former side project, For My Pain.... The ensemble brought together guitarist Olli-Pekka Törrö, bassist Altti Veteläinen, and drummer Petri Sankala—all from Eternal Tears of Sorrow—keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish, guitarist Lauri Tuohimaa of Charon, and Reflexion vocalist Juha Kylmänen. In 2003 the group issued its debut album, Fallen, on Finland’s own Spinefarm Records.
