Biography
Blending reggae vibes into a punk-pop framework akin to Green Day, the Rio de Janeiro outfit Forfun fuses Caribbean beats, alt-rock guitars, salsa accents, and hard rock drumming into an unpredictable live frenzy. Singer/guitarist Danilo Cutrim, bassist Vitor Insensee, and drummer Bruno Tize launched the group in 2001 with a straightforward punk-pop approach, yet Tize soon gave way to Nicolas Christ behind the kit. Insensee moved to guitar and synths while Rodrigo Costa took over bass duties, enabling the four-piece to record the 2003 demo Das Pistas de Skate às Pistas de Dança. That tape opened doors to early tours and festival slots. The band issued its first proper full-length, Teoria Dinâmica Gastativa, in 2005. Polisenso arrived in 2008 and marked the start of deeper forays into Latin, African, and Jamaican grooves. Alegria Compartilhada came next in 2011, followed in 2013 by the live set Forfun ao Vivo no Circo Voador plus the EP Solto. Fourth studio album Nu surfaced in 2014 and introduced rap elements.
