Biography
In 1992 Tennessee musicians Steve Babb and Fred Schendel launched their partnership by composing songs for a progressive rock concept album. Journey of the Dunadan reached stores the next year. Because the pair essentially formed the entire band and performed every instrument during recording, outside players had to be found for concert appearances. Schendel had previously shared a stage with drummer Walter Moore in the group the Obvious, so Moore was added to strengthen the live configuration. Michelle Young, already featured on one track of the debut, assumed keyboard responsibilities in this incarnation of the band. The second album, Perelandra, was tracked in 1994 with David Carter joining the lineup during those sessions. The CD appeared the following year, after which Young departed. On to Evermore followed in 1998, and Chronometree arrived two years later.
