Biography
Berlin electronic pop/house duo Glowing Glisses, consisting of Florian Schirmacher and Guido Schneider, issued several 12" singles on Poker Flat ahead of their first album, among them "Shaked Ladies" and "On the Bridge." Prior to that LP, Chicago house legend Larry Heard delivered a remix of "On the Bridge" that appeared on Dessous. Early 2003 saw the arrival of Silver Surfer, which gathered the lead tracks from those singles together with additional new material. Schirmacher supplied vocals on more than half the selections, his deep tone complementing the crisp, stripped-back sound of Schneider’s productions. The pair first crossed paths during a morning run.
