Grido

Beginning his path in music as the youngest addition to Gemelli DiVersi, the Italian rap duo behind numerous successes spanning the late 1990s into the early 2000s, Luca Aleotti—professionally known as Grido—first gained notice through that act. After seven albums issued together, he started a simultaneous solo trajectory in May 2011 via Io Grido, a widely embraced debut fusing hip-hop, Italian pop, neo-soul, and dance music. Production assistance came from his older brother J-Ax, an established rapper in his own right. The project reached number nine on the Italian charts and generated multiple singles, many centered on Grido’s affinity for marijuana.
