Fred De Palma

Italian rapper and singer Federico Palana records under the stage name Fred De Palma. His early work unfolded amid the freestyle circuits of Turin and Milan, culminating in the 2012 arrival of his near-namesake debut album F.D.P. One year afterward he secured one of twelve contestant slots on the second season of MTV Spit, the freestyle rap showcase broadcast by MTV Italy. Building on that exposure, he issued his sophomore effort Lettera al Successo in 2014 through Marracash’s Roccia imprint; the project logged a single week at number 35 on the Italian album chart. October 2015 brought his first Warner Music release, BoyFred, which lingered several weeks and peaked at number six. Guest appearances followed in 2016 on Patty Pravo’s Eccomi and Shade’s Clownstrofobia, while 2017 saw the rollout of five singles—among them “Non Tornare a Casa” and “Il Mio Game”—ahead of the next Warner project. That September the album Hanglover reached stores.
