Puerto Rico's Zion & Lennox rank among reggaeton's most prominent pairings. Emerging during the early 2000s, they advanced from underground circles through their initial hit album, Motivando a la Yal in 2004. Advancing steadily through the rankings, they secured their first Billboard Latin chart-topper and a Billboard 200 entry via 2016's Motivan2, wrapping their second decade with numerous popular tracks and joint projects. The duo delivered their fourth album, El Sistema, in 2021, then a run of successful singles such as "Wayo" in 2022 and "Para Siempre" in 2023.

Felix Ortiz (Zion) and Gabriel Pizzaro (Lennox) grew up as neighbors in Carolina, Puerto Rico. After discovering their common interest in hip-hop, rap, and dancehall, Ortiz and Pizzaro began working together, and during reggaeton's rise they became increasingly drawn to the new genre, seeing it as wide open and charged with possibility. Before long the pair received offers to record, which led them into the compilation sphere, a standard testing ground for emerging artists. Their tracks on key collections like Blin Blin, Vol. 1 and Mas Flow brought Zion & Lennox recognition across the reggaeton audience. "Te Hago el Amor" became an immediate success throughout Puerto Rico and the U.S.

After three years building their audience and reputation through guest appearances and compilation releases, Zion & Lennox issued their first full-length album, Motivando a la Yal, in 2004. It showcased productions from renowned figures Luny Tunes, Noriega, Nelly, and Eliel, some of reggaeton's most prominent names. The album made a strong chart impact, leading Zion & Lennox to tour across the Americas before large crowds. The compilation Los Verdaderos appeared in 2010 and reached number two on the Latin Albums chart. Following further touring, Ortiz launched his own label, Baby Records, where he serves as flagship act and CEO. Lennox kept supplying guest spots and collaborations with leading genre artists.

Although further releases came from the popular duo, they remained out of the public eye amid a dispute with their manager. They finally ended that arrangement in 2015 and signed with WEA Latina. Their label debut, Motivan2, arrived the next year. It featured guest appearances from Nicky Jam, Farruko, R. Kelly, and Maluma, debuting at number one on the Latin Albums chart. The multi-platinum single "Otra Vez" featuring J Balvin rose to number five on the U.S. Latin Singles chart, their highest placement to date. In 2018 they released several singles, including "No Es Justo" with J Balvin, "Hola," and "La Player (Bandolera)," which became a hit in Spain. 2019 brought various collaborations such as "San Pedro" with Sharlene, "Money Maker" with Tara McDonald, and "Guayo" with Anuel AA and Haze. Additional tracks followed in 2020, including "Dulcecitos" with Piso 21, "All Night," and "Te Mueves" with Natti Natasha. Headlined by the hit single "Loco" (with Justin Quiles and Chimbala), the 2021 full-length El Sistema closed Zion & Lennox's first two decades together. The duo continued issuing singles in 2022 ("Tus Labios" and "Brisa") and 2023 ("Passa Passa Passa" and "Para Siempre").
