Born as Natalia Alexandra Gutiérrez, Natti Natasha has established herself as a leading reggaeton, urban, and Latin pop performer who also produces and frequently collaborates. Her releases have regularly scaled the highest tiers of Latin pop charts throughout the Americas and Spain. An early recording session with her mentor Don Omar produced the 2012 chart-topper “Dutty Love.” Caribbean radio embraced her debut solo album All About Me, while years alongside Omar allowed her to widen partnerships with additional acts. She has contributed to nearly 100 charting singles and issued more than a dozen under her own name, among them 2017’s “Criminal” with Ozuna, “Amantes de una Noche” featuring Bad Bunny, and 2019’s “Quién Sabe.” The follow-up album Iluminatti reached number three that same year. In 2020 she appeared as collaborator and songwriter on no fewer than 15 charting singles, including the major success “Despacio” alongside Nicky Jam, Myke Towers, and Manuel Turizo. Prince Royce joined her on “Antes Que Salga el Sol” and Becky G on “Ram Pam Pam,” both central to the 2021 album Nattividad. Further momentum arrived with 2022’s “Mayor Que Usted,” recorded with Daddy Yankee and Wisin & Yandel, followed by solo singles such as 2023’s “La Falta Que Me Haces.”

Natti Natasha was raised in Santiago de los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic. Early church singing deeply moved her mother, who placed her in the School of Fine Arts of Santiago at age eight. At 14 she began capturing songs simply as a pastime, soon entering every local musical event and contest in Santiago and eventually forming the group D’style with friends. A regional tour brought her into contact with Linkon, a producer and A&R scout for Don Omar’s Orfanato Music Group. She recorded material for one of his projects and later traveled to New York City to continue work in his studio. At the end of one session Omar walked in, was immediately impressed, and asked Linkon to arrange a meeting later that day—an appointment Natasha did not realize involved Don Omar. He became her mentor from that point forward and has overseen her career. After signing with Orfanato Music Group’s Pina label, the 2012 duet “Dutty Love” with Omar topped virtually every Latin dance and pop chart in the Americas. Although the same-year debut album All About Me achieved modest results, continued collaborations sustained her profile and refined her performances; a duet with Farruko on “Crazy in Love” reached the Top Five and further elevated her standing, to Farruko’s great satisfaction.

While touring and opening for Don Omar and others, she received featured billing on Farruko’s 2015 number-five single “Perdido en Tus Ojos,” whose video accumulated 150 million views and delivered unprecedented exposure. Demand for her input intensified; the 2017 collaboration “Criminal” with Ozuna landed in the Top Five and its video exceeded a billion views, while “Otra Cosa” with Daddy Yankee that year garnered 56 million views. She headlined January 2018’s “Amantes de Una Noche” featuring Bad Bunny, whose video collected 95 million views in three weeks and built anticipation for the 2019 sophomore album Iluminatti. Driven by “Quién Sabe,” the set debuted at number three on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. Additional 2019 appearances included “Runaway” with Sebastián Yatra, Daddy Yankee, and the Jonas Brothers as well as “Instagram” with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.

Standalone tracks continued in 2020 with “Despacio” featuring Nicky Jam, Manuel Turizo, and Myke Towers plus “Que Mal Te Fue,” which reached number 18 on Billboard’s Top Latin Songs chart. Two more Top 20 hits—“Antes Que Salga el Sol” with Prince Royce and “Ram Pam Pam” with Becky G—supported the 2021 album Nattividad, which peaked at number 14 on the U.S. Latin chart. Success extended into 2022 via “Wow BB” with El Alfa and Chimbala and the chart-topping “Mayor Que Usted” with Daddy Yankee and Wisin & Yandel; the year closed with “Lokita” featuring María Becerra and “To’ Esto Es Tuyo.” Releases in 2023 encompassed “Algarete” and “La Falta Que Me Haces.”
