Cazzu emerged as a rapper and singer from Argentina by crafting bold anthems centered on female strength, at the same time elevating the local Latin Trap movement through joint work with Khea and Bad Bunny on the single “Loca” as well as her own 2020 platinum EP Bonus Trap. A broad slate of singles arrived the next year, one of which was the platinum-certified “Las Nenas” that included La Duraca among its featured artists. Her hard-hitting sophomore album Nena Trampa reached audiences in 2022.

Born Julieta Cazzucheli in Ledesma, Argentina, she absorbed musical influences from her father yet first pursued studies in cinematography and graphic design, launching her recording career as a cumbia performer. Her path soon shifted toward the urban sound of her country, resulting in a blend of Latin and R&B elements on her debut album Maldades in 2017. Throughout 2018 she issued multiple singles and recorded with Negro Fino, Lowlight, and Dellafuente, solidifying her place inside the trap community. By 2019 she had moved fully into reggaetón, hip-hop, and trap on the album Error 93, which positioned her among Argentina’s foremost urban artists and gave her a platform to address social disparities while advancing messages of female empowerment.

In 2020 she joined Tainy and Sean Paul for the single “Lento” and released the EP Bonus Trap, later certified platinum by the Argentine Chamber of Phonograms and Videograms Producers (CAPIF); the seven-track mini-album Una Niña Inutil followed in digital form. January 2021 brought the single “Animal,” recorded with fellow Argentine singer Maria Becerra, which reached number five domestically. March saw her alongside La Duraca, Natti Natasha, and Farina on “Las Nenas,” a track that earned platinum status in both the United States and Spain. Two weeks afterward the charting collaboration “Turra” with DJ Alan Gomez appeared, followed in June by “Dime Donde” featuring Justin Quiles. August delivered “Sobre Mi Tumba,” whose video accumulated six-and-a-half million views despite the song itself not charting. That year she received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist.

She closed 2021 with “Castigo” in November and resurfaced in February 2022 with “C14torce V: Balada para un Alien.” March placed her on the “Matatan” remix alongside rapper Kaleb Di Masi, whose video surpassed 23 million views. May introduced the trap-infused cumbia track “Jefa,” and a week later the hit “Maléfica” reunited her with Becerra; the song climbed to number 20 in Argentina while its video exceeded 20 million views within the first month. Also in May she issued her ten-song sophomore full-length Nena Trampa, which contained appearances by De La Ghetto, Brray, Becerra, and additional guests. During the second half of 2024 she resumed live performances, then released the solo ballad “La Cueva” in December, a tender and heartbreaking track that rose on the charts as listeners examined its lyrics for clues about her split from singer/songwriter Christian Nodal.
