Emerging as a standout in Spanish rap, Kidd Keo built his reputation on a frequently provocative delivery that fused American trap with varied external influences, evident in cuts like the 2016 track "Okay"—a Spanish adaptation of Damso's "Debrouillard"—and his first full-length album, Keoland, issued in 2018.

Originating from Alicante, Spain, Kidd Keo absorbed an eclectic mix of sounds ranging from punk to hip-hop while growing up, yet a relocation to Toronto, Canada introduced him to a sharper, distinctly Americanized style. After returning to Spain he began issuing his own material online, generating extensive streams for pieces such as 2015's "Relax" and 2016's "Dirty," around the time his opening mixtape Fear the Walking Tape surfaced early that year. Additional singles appeared before the official arrival of Keoland in 2018. With his digital reach and social media audience climbing into the millions, he emerged as one of Spain's foremost trap figures, attaining wider recognition through a blend of Spanish and English lyrics and a distinctive Spanish interpretation of French and U.S. trap and drill. In 2019 he secured a contract with Warner Music Latina, marking his debut release for the imprint with the song "Pitbull." The subsequent year saw the launch of his first EP on the label, Rockport Espacial, as he moved toward a Latin-inflected deep house approach.
