Ñengo Flow

Puerto Rican vocalist, MC, and composer Ñengo Flow acquired the moniker "The Real G of Urban Music" because his tracks consistently reflect his loyalty to the streets. Reggaetoneros and urbano musicians and producers regularly seek him out for joint work and solo cuts alike, drawn to the percussive, gritty flow and compelling musicality he brings. His initial breakthrough arrived via the 2005 debut album Flow Callejero, which spread his anthemic party sound widely. Dozens of singles and albums list him in the roles of collaborator, co-writer, and producer alongside names that stretch from Ivy Queen and Don Omar to Bad Bunny and De la Ghetto. Widely celebrated for an extensive run of mixtapes highlighted by 2011’s Real G 4 Life and the three later volumes in the same series, he built a standing as an old-school reggaetonero who possessed ample new-school skills to stay both current and sought after. The Goat, his third non-mixtape studio album, surfaced in 2020, and he has kept issuing heavily streamed singles afterward, among them 2022’s “Gato de Noche” with Bad Bunny.

Edwin Rosa, who grew up in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, made his first stage appearance in 1995 at age 14 as a teenage reggaeton and hip-hop singer. He contributed to a regional mixtape alongside fellow artists in 2004. The following year he debuted on the Univision label with Flow Callejero under the Ñengo Flow name, yet the ever-rebellious performer chose to return to the underground, where he spent the subsequent seven years issuing singles and mixtapes such as La Verdadera Calle (2010). Millones Récords launched the official Real G 4 Life mixtape series in 2011; Real G 4 Life, Pt. 2 (2012) entered Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart. During that same year he earned recognition as a collaborator on Ivy Queen’s now-classic album Musa. The mixtape series lent its title to his own imprint in 2015 when Real G 4 Life Records put out the Los Reyes del Rap album and the single “Moving Kilos” featuring French Montana. Real G4 Life, Vol. 3, the third entry in the mixtape series, arrived in 2017, the same year he appeared as a featured guest on Kiubbah Malon’s album El Final.

Flow took an acting role in the first season of Nicky Jam’s autobiographical Netflix series El Ganador in 2018 and also worked on its soundtrack. His 2019 single “Te Arrepentiste,” which featured Lyanno, reached the urbano charts. He joined Bad Bunny’s hit “Safaera” with Jowell & Randy in March 2020, then released his own charting album The Goat that same year, which included appearances by Jhay Cortez, Anuel AA, Jory Boy, and Myke Towers among others. Since The Goat he has put out dozens of singles. Standout 2020 tracks include “Vive y Deja Vivir” with Alejandra Guzmán, “Gatita Gangster” with Cazzu, “Profecía,” and “Universitaria.” 2021 yielded collaborations with Dvice, Gaona, Farruko, Myke Towers on “Burberry,” and additional artists. Further 2022 releases encompass “Chukiteo” with Kiko El Crazy, “Delincuente” with Tokischa and Anuel AA, “Sufro” with Kodak Black and Anuel AA, and “Gato de Noche” with Bad Bunny, plus more.
