Venezuelan vocalist and beatmaker Danny Ocean fuses Latin rhythms with EDM production and pop hooks. Global recognition arrived gradually via his chart-topping single "Me Rehúso," which surpassed a billion streams, while additional cuts from the 2019 album 54+1 likewise accumulated hundreds of millions. Further successes followed through 2020 and 2021 via joint releases with Karol G on "Miedito o Qué?" and Tokischa on "Dorito & Coca Cola," after which Ocean delivered his stylistically expansive second album @dannocean in 2022. The more overtly electronic Reflexa surfaced in 2024.

Born Daniel Morales in Caracas, Venezuela, he first recorded as Danny O.C.T. and launched his recording career near 2009, issuing multiple EPs prior to relocating to Miami, Florida around 2015 amid Venezuela's deteriorating political and economic conditions. Employed in modest positions and grappling with isolation, Morales composed "Me Rehúso" in 2016 while reflecting on his partner still living in Venezuela. Posting the track to his video channel yielded slow initial traction, yet it later exploded into a viral phenomenon with hundreds of millions of streams, prompting both a re-release and an English adaptation titled "Baby I Won't."

In 2017 he entered a distinctive dual-label arrangement, Warner Music Latina overseeing Spanish-language output and Atlantic handling English-language material. The 2018 single "Epa Wei" paired him with Skrillex, and his debut full-length 54+1 arrived in March 2019. Subsequent independent releases encompassed originals such as "Dime Tú" alongside further partnerships, notably the sunlit 2020 track "Miedito o Qué?" with Karol G and the sultry 2021 cut "Dorito & Coca Cola" with Dominican rapper Tokischa. Ocean's wide-ranging sophomore effort @dannocean followed in 2022, featuring appearances by TINI, Tokischa, Guaynaa, and Justin Quiles, with the companion set @dannocean2 appearing later that year.

He issued additional widely streamed collaborations in 2023, including "Emeycé" with 3AM, "Binikini" with Rawayana, and "Correcaminos" with Alejandro Sanz, before closing the year with the solo single "No Te Enamores de Él." Third album Reflexa landed in 2024, carrying a more pronounced club-music emphasis than preceding work.
