Biography
Emerging from hip-hop’s outermost margins, the supergroup Hail Mary Mallon unites MCs and producers Aesop Rock with Rob Sonic. The project’s title nods to Mary Mallon, the historical figure also called Typhoid Mary, and the pair first unveiled it via the 2009 Definitive Jux Presents 4 compilation. Rhymesayers followed two years afterward with the debut album Are You Gonna Eat That?, adding DJ Big Wiz to the roster as a third participant. Rock and Sonic later restored the duo format for the 2014 release Bestiary.
