From the age of six onward, British actress Heather Peace has declared both an aptitude and a passion for music, having also received classical piano instruction. Her first opportunity to pursue a recording path arrived in 2000, when the character she portrayed on the U.K. drama London’s Burning delivered a poignant rendition of the Bette Midler standard “The Rose.” BMG issued the track soon after, and it climbed to number 56 on the U.K. chart. Peace nevertheless chose to focus on acting and set music aside for the time being. Only after securing several prominent television parts did she revisit her musical ambitions, mounting a sold-out tour throughout the U.K. in 2011. Collaborating with producer Nigel Wright, she issued her debut jazz album, Fairytales, in May 2012. The next year brought an Australian tour and the release of Jack Guy’s remix of the single “Fight For.” In 2015 she unveiled the single “We Can Change,” drawn from her second studio album The Thin Line. Following further touring and multiple festival appearances, she completed work on a third album slated for late 2014.
