Biography
Emerging from San Jose in 2004, Heavy Heavy Low Low built their profile mainly via grassroots discussions, online buzz, and nonstop road work. The five-piece lineup includes vocalist Robbie Smith, guitarists Ryan Madden and Danny Rankin, plus the Fritter brothers, Chris on drums and Andrew on bass. Their first release, Everything's Watched, Everyone's Watching, arrived in September 2006 through New Weathermen Records, a Ferret subsidiary, as an unruly eleven-track set fusing metal, emo, hardcore, and noise. Early the next year Ferret issued a limited pressing of the long-unavailable EP ...Fuck It?!; after further touring, August 2008 brought the unpredictably named Turtle Nipple and the Toxic Shock.
