Heidi Hauge

Norwegian country performer Heidi Hauge launched her professional path in the closing years of the 1990s through joint performances with her spouse, Bjørn Arild Hauge. What began as a casual pastime soon developed into major commercial achievements that placed her among Scandinavia’s highest-selling country acts, complete with multiple gold records and widespread live draw. After securing a contract with Showtime Records, she issued her first album, Country Time, in 2000. Across the following decade she sustained a steady output that at times yielded two releases annually, among them the thematically aligned Country Girl in 2001, Country Blue in 2002, and Country Jewels in 2004. She later shifted to the Scana label, where she completed projects such as the 2007 album Some Broken Hearts… and the seasonal collection Christmas Eve in the Country. A greatest-hits compilation followed in 2009, yet several years elapsed before another studio album appeared. In 2016 she resurfaced with the duets set Acoustic Country Duets, recorded alongside fellow Norwegian country artist Arne Benoni, and later that same year delivered the solo EP Country Night.
