Biography
Horacio Banegas, an Argentinean folk singer and songwriter, launched his professional path in 1965 by creating the duo Los Banegas together with his brother. He entered Las Tobas in 1972 and collaborated there with Alfredo Abalos, Sixto Palavecino, and Eduardo Avilar. One key achievement came in 1989 when Banegas recorded La Misa Santiaguera alongside Los Sin Nombre, Elpidio Herrera, and Orígenes; a year afterward he premiered the musical Mi Origen y Mi Lugar, which also became the title of his debut solo album, followed by Pertenezco a Este Mundo in 1992 and Sintaxis in 1994.
