Biography
HS87 took shape as a hip-hop collective built around Hit-Boy, giving the acclaimed producer his first opportunity to perform as an MC while presenting the rest of his crew. Having already overseen platinum-selling hits for Eminem, Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Rihanna, and Kanye West, Hit-Boy exited Kanye West’s GOOD Music label to establish an independent path. He brought together the roster of Audio Push, B. Carr, B-Mac the Queen, N. No, Kent Money, and K. Roosevelt in 2014, added his own vocals, and issued the resulting mixtape We the Plug through Interscope that same year.
