Biography

Imán, a name drawn from the magnetic personality of its members, came together in 1998 when five young musicians set out to launch a fresh traditional Mexican ensemble. Their first album, Atrayendo Corazones, produced by Roberto Martínez, reached the top of the charts behind the hit single “Uno, Dos y Tres,” which in turn brought the band seven nominations at the TTMA Awards (Texas Talent Musician Association) for Band of the Year, Best Promising Band, Album of the Year, Best Regional/Mexican Song, Best Vocalist, and Best Entertainer.
