INIKO crafts sleek, introspective tracks that weave together alt-pop textures, fluid R&B grooves, and introspective rap passages. A measured ascent through independent singles that began surfacing in the final years of the 2010s culminated in 2023 when the anthemic “Jericho” reached the upper half of Billboard’s Hot Digital Songs chart.

A native New Yorker, INIKO nurtured an early passion for music, taking up both piano and guitar as a child. Time spent overseas, notably a year-long stay in Japan, preceded a move to Los Angeles, where songwriting efforts commenced toward the close of the decade. The 2019 release “Pinocchio,” the 2020 double-sided single “Both of Them” that paired “Motion” with “Caught in a Body,” and the subsequent “Luna” each drew a widening audience; by December 2021, cumulative streams across platforms had already climbed into the millions. Further 2022 offerings included “Hourglass” and the paternal tribute “The King’s Affirmation,” the latter accumulating tens of millions of plays on its own. Early the following year, INIKO surpassed two million TikTok followers, filled coastal club venues to capacity, and watched “Jericho” emerge as a genuine viral phenomenon that secured its Top 40 placement.
