Biography
Hailing from Sicily, Ivan Segreto works as a singer, songwriter, and pianist whose sound incorporates jazz, swing, and easy listening, placing him alongside fellow Italian Gianmaria Testa as well as Norah Jones. His debut album, Porta Vagnu, arrived in 2004 to positive responses from both listeners and critics, after which he served as an opening act on tour for Franco Battiato. The follow-up release, Fidate Correnti, came out in 2005. Segreto appeared at the San Remo Festival in 2006. Early the next year, 2007, his third album, Ampia, reached the public, with guest appearances by Franco Battiato, Paolo Fresu, and Giovanni Sollima.
