Biography
Emerging from Erlangen, Germany, the satirical metal outfit J.B.O. came together in 1989. Originally operating as the James Blast Orchester, the group was compelled to shorten its name after a legal dispute. Early recognition arrived through satirical and humorous covers of rock and disco material, before the band turned to writing original songs in 2000. More than 25 albums appeared between the 1994 effort Eine Gute CD Zum Kaufen! and 2007’s Head Bang Boing, the latter reaching Germany’s Top 40. J.B.O. devoted most of that year to touring Central Europe, then issued I Don't Like Metal, I Love It in 2009.
