Biography
Jesse Jo Stark, a Los Angeles native, was raised amid the intersecting spheres of fashion and music. Her parents, designers Richard and Laurie Lynn Stark, established the luxury rock & roll brand Chrome Hearts, whose clientele has long included figures from Jay-Z to Nikki Sixx, ensuring constant immersion in rock culture and show business from an early age. During adolescence she produced original designs for both her family’s label and the skate shoe company Vans. Musically she has pursued a punk orientation marked by gothy-Americana undertones, shaped by the Cramps, Loretta Lynn, and David Bowie. In 2014 she recorded her debut EP, Down Your Drain, alongside family friend and former Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones. After launching her own imprint, Stark returned in 2017 with the single “Driftwood,” whose introspective atmosphere recalls Mazzy Star.
