Biography
Formed as a quartet in Victoria, British Columbia, during 1995, Jets Overhead first operated under the name the Special Guests. In that earlier incarnation the group issued both an EP and a full-length through Canadian indie Attic Records, though the label entered bankruptcy immediately after the 2000 release of the band’s debut full-length. The Special Guests disbanded by 2001, yet Adam Kittredge, Jocelyn Greenwood, and Piers Henwood reconvened the following year, adding Antonia Freybe-Smith and Luke Renshaw to launch Jets Overhead. Their self-titled debut appeared in 2003 and supported international touring alongside Tegan and Sara and the Dears. Later albums followed as Bridges in 2006 and No Nations in 2009.
