A Silent Film

Originating from Oxford, England, the stadium-ready English alt-rock band A Silent Film came together in 2007, drawing stylistic parallels to Coldplay, Travis, Keane, and Snow Patrol. Centered on Robert Stevenson handling vocals, piano, and guitar, the lineup also featured drummer Spencer Walker, Lewis Jones, Karl Bareham, and Ali Hussain, all of whom stepped forward following the breakup of Shouting Myke, the earlier group that had included Stevenson, Walker, and Jones. Their first EP, The Projectionist, appeared during summer 2007, and the full-length City That Sleeps followed in 2008 before an overseas reissue added two bonus tracks in 2010. Sand & Snow, the band’s second album, arrived in 2012, while the EP New Year surfaced at the start of 2015.
