Jetta

Having moved from her native Liverpool to London, British singer-songwriter Jetta launched her professional path by providing backing vocals for Paloma Faith and Cee Lo Green. Music formed a constant presence in her childhood, as she grew up the daughter of an a cappella singer and a sound engineer. Her rich, powerful voice quickly set her apart from other session singers in London, prompting her to pursue solo work and secure a deal with Republic Records. The 2013 release of her debut EP, Start a Riot, brought further attention when its soulful title track emerged as a breakout underground hit in the U.K., prompting comparisons to Florence + the Machine, the xx, and Adele. Teaming with producer Jim Eliot (Ellie Goulding, M.I.A.), she began work on her first LP, expected in 2014.
