Biography
Jeff Healey first encountered Canadian singer and guitarist Jimmy Bowskill performing outside his Toronto venue when the musician was just 11. Bowskill put out his debut effort Old Soul independently during 2003. Soap Bars & Dog Ears, credited to the Jimmy Bowskill Band, came out the next year. He subsequently toured extensively, supporting ZZ Top, Dickey Betts, Garth Hudson, and Deep Purple across Canada plus Germany, France, Mexico, Ukraine, and Japan. On May 18, 2007, his third record Jimmy Bowskill hit stores. Ruf Records became his label for the 2010 live album Live, which appeared June 8.
