Biography
Jodie Marie, born Jodie Marie Warlow, is a Welsh singer and songwriter whose yearning folk-pop gravitates toward soulful ballads and bluesy anthems. Raised in Narberth, Pembrokeshire, Wales, she absorbed blues music throughout childhood, began performing in local venues at the age of seven, and started writing original material while still in her teens. A covers collection she had recorded drew interest from Transgressive Management, leading the company to sign Marie at sixteen. She soon traveled to London to cut an album of her own compositions with guitarist and producer Bernard Butler of Suede and Duffy. Mountain Echo, her debut full-length, appeared on Decca in 2012.
