Possessing fair hair and blue eyes, the Los Angeles rapper Zachary Ross, professionally known as KAPTN, carries roughly the same measure of street credibility as Stephen Dorff. Even so, his unconventional lyrical wit and knack for constructing memorable choruses drew industry notice upon the release of his single “Ricky Ricardo.” Once he secured a deal with Island through the production duo Da Internz, the follow-up track “Juice” attracted attention via its provocative video, which nodded to the film Spring Breakers and included a brief appearance by Miley Cyrus.
