Atlanta-raised Kenny Mason operates as both rapper and producer, using introspective autobiographical rhymes to chronicle his street upbringing in the city and his determination to reach higher ground. His vocal approach shifts across aggressive rhymes and melodic sing-rapping, while his beats move from the woozy, chillwave-adjacent textures of his first singles to the punk- and alternative-rock-driven material on 2020’s Angelic Hoodrat and 2024’s 9. The more trap-focused Angel Eyes also surfaced in 2024.

Lil Wayne and Kid Cudi stand as the two main figures who prompted him to begin rapping during adolescence; he further cites alternative-rock bands Pixies and the Smashing Pumpkins among his influences. Those sources shaped his earliest uploads, including “4Real” and “22,” which drew quick notice after appearing online in 2017. Releases such as 2018’s “Nike 2” and 2019’s “G.O.A.T.” preceded the breakout single “Hit,” which amassed millions of streams within months. His debut album Angelic Hoodrat arrived in April 2020, showcasing a range that encompassed punk, trap, and R&B. He joined IDK and JID on the single “Cereal.” The EP Pup Pack and mixtape Ruffs both landed in 2022, followed by the 2023 EPs 3, 6, and Highway 9. Second album 9 appeared in 2024 with contributions from Toro y Moi, Veeze, and BabyDrill. The mixtape Angel Eyes followed in November of that year.
