Klaus & Klaus

Originating as a German act known as Klaus & Klaus, the project underwent several lineup shifts over time, at one point expanding into a trio. It all started when former radio DJ Klaus Baumgart joined forces with Klaus Büchner, who had been fronting Torfrock. Their follow-up release "An der Nordseeküste" became a major success across Germany. Popularity endured right up to Büchner's exit in 1997, prompted by his desire to refocus efforts on Torfrock. At that juncture, the surviving member Klaus enlisted Hamburg-based musician Claas Vogt along with Andreas Newmann, thereby creating a three-piece edition of Klaus & Klaus that endured through 2000. Newmann's departure at that point restored the configuration to its original duo status.
