Kolohe Kai

Kolohe Kai emerged as a Hawaiian reggae-pop ensemble whose sleek and heartfelt style is anchored by lead vocalist and composer Roman De Peralta. The collective came together in 2009, with several participants still attending high school, and their opening release This Is the Life together with the 2011 successor Love Town quickly anchored the act within Pacific reggae and pop circles through standout tracks such as “Ehu Girl” and “Cool Down.” The group’s consistently upbeat outlook and romantic focus sustained audience interest via the 2014 project Paradise, which climbed to a solid third place on Billboard’s Reggae Album chart. Following a five-year interval, Kolohe Kai resurfaced and claimed the top reggae-album position with their fourth effort, Summer to Winter.
