Lange, a British DJ and producer whose work draws from trance while folding in techno and electro influences, built his reputation evenly across album projects, remix assignments, and club performances. Born Stuart Langelaan, he joined the Additive roster in 1997 and issued the singles "I Believe" and "The Root of Unhappiness" on that imprint the next year. His 1998 treatment of DJ Sakin's "Protect Your Mind" turned into a club staple, and his 1999 reworking of Lost Witness' "Happiness Happening" advanced to the Top 20 on the U.K. Singles Chart. That same year also brought his remix of Pet Shop Boys' "New York City Boy," after which he moved to the Positiva label in 2000 for the release of "Follow Me," a track that topped the U.K. budget album chart on the strength of its extended forty-minute duration. The producer's first full-length effort, titled Better Late Than Never, appeared in 2007, followed by Harmonic Motion in 2010. His third album, We Are Lucky People, surfaced in 2013, the year he also assembled the Ministry of Sound mix CD Trance Nation.
