Biography
Laura León, a Mexican vocalist, performer, and instructor of both classic and contemporary dance, first attracted the notice of filmmaker Emilio Fernández. He cast her in the motion picture Zona Roja, which soon led to her vocal debut on the television program Noches Tapatías under the guidance of host Lola Beltran.
Following the release of her successful track Yo No Soy Abusadora, she rose to local prominence through leading parts in major Latin soap operas such as Dos Mujeres, Un Camino, where she appeared with Erick Estrada, along with the albums El Premio Mayor and 1999's Mujeres Engañadas, issued on EMI Latin.
