Lauriana Mae

Lauriana Mae entered the world in Red Bank, New Jersey, as a retro-minded R&B vocalist and songwriter whose earliest musical experiences unfolded in church choir performances. At her performing arts high school she concentrated on vocal music as her major while gravitating toward contemporary R&B and rap before circling back to classic jazz and R&B traditions extending to the 1920s, influences that ultimately defined her artistic identity. Upon signing with the Atlantic label she completed Love Mae, the three-track EP helmed by veteran "producer's producer" Kwamé (Mary J. Blige, Mya, Keyshia Cole, Algebra Blessett). She later added a track to A Very Special Christmas 25th Anniversary and appeared on selections from B.o.B. ("Chandelier") and Cee Lo Green ("Only You").
