Swedish singer LÉON emerged in 2015 with a gently luminous brand of contemporary pop that nodded to classic textures from the 1960s and '80s while avoiding any sense of being rooted in those eras. Three initial EPs set the stage for her self-titled 2019 full-length debut and its breakthrough single, "You and I." She has since refined an increasingly electronic and spacious aesthetic across the 2020 release Apart and the 2022 album Circles.

Born in Stockholm to musical parents, the artist fronted a group during her teenage years before her solo trajectory gained momentum through her partnership with producer Agrin Rahmani. At 21 she issued her first proper single, "Tired of Talking," whose bright melodic line contrasted the lyrics' firm tone. The brisker follow-up "Nobody Cares," which addressed difficulty moving on from a relationship, soon arrived and anchored the EP Treasure alongside both tracks and two additional cuts. Early 2017 brought the For You EP, succeeded months later by Surround Me and the sultry 2018 single "Baby Don't Talk." Building anticipation for her debut album, LÉON notched another success with the stirring lead single "You and I," after which the record LÉON surfaced in March 2019 and prompted headline runs across Europe and North America.

October 2020 marked the arrival of her second album, Apart. Cut in Stockholm alongside longtime associate Martin Stilling, the project extended her restrained, melody-driven pop approach. May 2021 saw the release of the dance-house collaboration "Hear Me Say" with Jonas Blue. Circles, her third studio effort, appeared in March 2022 and emphasized more exposed, synth-laden moods while incorporating the prior singles "Dancer," "Soaked," and "Wishful Thinking."
