Biography
Emerging onto the Spanish rock landscape in 1986, Los Flechazos aligned themselves with the Mod movement, a British fashion and music style dating back to the 1960s. Alejandro Díez, formerly singer and guitarist with Opera Prima and F.B.I., joined forces with keyboardist Elena Iglesias Sastre, harmonica player José Berrot, drummer Pedro Javier Alonso, and Héctor Escobar, the ex-Los Nietos de Ghandi singer and bassist, to form the Britpop-influenced quintet. Their debut arrived in 1987 under the title Viviendo En La Era Pop, with the follow-up album En El Club appearing in 1989. Los Flechazos ultimately disbanded in 1998 following a live set at the Purple Weekend Festival in their hometown of León, Spain.
