Emerging on the Spanish rock circuit in the mid-1980s, the band los Enemigos secured their entry into the studio by winning first place in Villa de Madrid's rock contest. Their debut effort, Ferpectamente, appeared next, followed in 1988 by Un Tío Cabal. With singer/guitarist Josele Santiago at the helm, los Enemigos established themselves among the most popular local acts of the 1990s. Marking their fifteenth anniversary, the group staged five concerts in Madrid, Valencia, Granada, and Santiago de Compostela; those performances yielded the double live album Obras Escocidas, 1985-2000, produced by Carlos Matos and issued by Chewaka Records on February 19, 2001.
